INTRO FROM THE FOUNDER
I started the Missing Pets Bureau 6 years ago when two dogs belonging to my best friends were stolen. The trauma and upset this caused was a life changing experience and I made a commitment then to help reunify pet owners with their four legged friends. Today, the Missing Pets Bureau has healed many broken hearts by reuniting literally thousands of pets with their owners while offering support, advice and hope to those in despair.

By combining the very latest information technology and communications systems with a team of expert advisors, consultant vets and dog trainers we offer our thousands of pet owners the very best in pet safety and hopefully help make this world a safer place for pets.

MICROchipping
PROTECTION – ITS MORE THAN SKIN DEEP
At the Missing Pets Bureau we have been responsible for retuning hundreds of cats and dogs to their owners, many before they are aware their pet has gone missing. A panic stricken dog or cat can be disappear within minutes so fast action by us is vital to prevent a pet getting in the wrong hands or being involved in an accident.

"using an external identification like the Petback Protect tag coupled with microchipping has real benefits"

The combination of an external ID tag and DNA identification supported by microchipping is probably the best protection you can provide for your dog. DNA identification is not yet available for cats however using an external identification like the Petback Protect tag coupled with microchipping has real benefits if a cat gets lost or stolen. Sometimes a pet ends up in the hands of an inexperienced person, who with the best of intentions, decides to offer the ‘stray’ a home without going through the normal channels.

Susan Mckay, consultant vet, Missing Pets Bureau

"An external ID tag and DNA identification supported by microchipping is probably the best protection you can provide for your dog. A visual tag is the pet’s only hope of being reunited with his or her owner in such a situation. However, microchipping coupled with DNA identification can really help provide proof of ownership while micro chipping offers the reassurance that everything that could help identify a pet has been done.”

The Missing Pets Bureau strongly advises all pet owners to have their dogs and cats microchipped - please ask your vet for details.
